To input one of these characters, hold down the ALT key, and type the number on the numeric keypad, then release the ALT key.

Umlaut:
ä = alt + 0228
ö = alt + 0246

Acute:
á = alt + 0225
é = alt + 0233
í = alt + 0237
ó = alt + 0243
ú = alt + 0250
ý = alt + 0253

O-E ligature:
œ = alt + 0156

Icelandic/Old English Eth:
ð = alt + 0240

Icelandic/Old English Thorn:
þ = alt + 0254

A-E ligature:
æ = alt + 145

Nordic O slash:
ø = alt + 0248

Nordic A ring, Angstrom sign
å = alt + 0229
